“Something doesn’t add up”
Church programs have never been better
But Faith Transference has never been worse
Because Family Challenges have never been greater.
The church is fulfilling its role. Our job is to declare The Word as clearly and creatively as possible. It is time that we declare what’s really going on. The problem is NOT what’s happening at church, but what desperately needs to happen in our homes.

I think that Kurt and John did a great job of presenting the challenges that are facing us. I would diagree, though, that the church is doing it's job as stated above or that our church programs are stronger than ever as Kurt stated. If that is true, then we wouldn't have the "family challenge." I also am not a fan of posing what is happening as a crisis or a problem. I think we would get a much better response from families if we took a look at things from a different perspective and look at what is happening as an opportunity and the dawn of a new day for church to engage families and visa versa. Most parents already browbeat themsleves, they don't need the church doing it, too. Parents (me included) need someone to hold us up, cheer us on and motivate us... The last time I checked, browbeating wasn't motivating... not in the long run.
